To really succeed at vibration analysis you need practice. One way to get that practice is to collect and analyze data on machines with known faults, and compare your diagnosis with other experts.

This is the foundation of the iLearnCaseHistories product.
The product has two parts.

The first is a library of machines where a fault has been diagnosed, the fault progressed, then a repair was made.

You get to see the data, analyze it (without being told the diagnosis if you like), then see what was found to be wrong with the machine.

You can view historical data, and you can fully analyze the data on screen with harmonic and sideband cursors.

You can also "play" the data into your data collector.  This allows you to measure the data yourself and perform analysis with your own software (note: the "live" data described next is far better for this application).

The diagnostic documentation that can be viewed on the screen covers analysis techniques and specific characteristics that you should look for in the data.

You will learn numerous tips, tricks and war stories.

The second part of the product is a library of "digital tape recordings" on machines with faults. These are 30 second long recordings that you can analyze on screen, or play into your data collector.

Yes, you can actually play the signals from the machine into your collector via your computer's multimedia system.

This product will build your confidence and level of experience in vibration analysis and the use of your data collector.
